Summer may be ending but the fun continues in the Yakima Valley with many different festivals in September you’ll want to make time to attend.
September 1st, 12pm-6pm.
Help Silverlake Winery celebrate grape harvest! Compete in a friendly grape stomping competition or participate in one of their many games. There will also be amazing music by the TC Latin Fusion Band, delicious food by Jesse’s Smokken Hot Meatz, ice cold Vinoritas, and vendors at this annual family friendly event.
August 31-Sept. 3rd, Labor Day Weekend.
There is a lot to do and see every day during Wilridge Winery’s 30th Anniversary Celebration. Including, vineyard tours, live music, the unveiling of the new ART totem pole, food trucks and, of course, plenty of Wine Tasting. Check out the Tasting 30 Years, 30 Wines event. Where Wilridge vintner Paul Beveridge guides you through tasting 30 years of Wilridge Wines. Live music acts include Clif and Nelda’s Little Big Band, celtic folk duo Robert Rife and Piper Richmond and Yakima’s infamous, Americanstanband!

Bring the whole family to celebrate the Yakima Valley apple harvest! Take a hayride to the orchards to pick your own farm fresh apples then squeeze-your own fresh apple cider from a box of our pre-picked blend of juicing apples. Also enjoy fresh apple cider donuts, apple sling shots, free playgrounds for the kids, barnyard corn maze, new little farmers tractor go-kart track, piggy tire climb and so much more!
Experience a music festival like no other at the base of the Cascade mountain range along the Naches River at Jim Sprick Park. There will be over 30 bands/musicians on two different stages. On Friday and Saturday, minors will not be permitted on festival grounds or in the park camping areas. Sunday is open to all ages and kids under 12 are FREE! Let them express their music prowess at music workshops or find their creativity tie-dying Chinook Fest t-shirts.
September 15th, 3pm-8pm.
Introducing the first ever Taco Fest in Downtown Yakima. Get your taco fix from twelve different authentic street taco vendors all conveniently located in one place. Enjoy $2 tacos paired with your favorite craft beverages for only $5 a glass. General admission is $12 which comes with a souvenir plastic cup. VIP admission is $35 and it comes includes 4 tacos, 2 drinks, a gift bag with premium 16 oz. souvenir glass and early access (3pm-4pm) to the event. This is a 21 and over event.
Don’t’ miss the biggest annual celebration in the Yakima Valley. With admission you can enjoy free concerts every night, including John Michael Montgomery, Survivor, Air Supply and more, plus livestock shows, carnival rides, delicious fair food, agriculture and art displays. Don’t forget to check out the monster trucks, demolition derby and sprint cars also.
September 29th, 5pm-10pm.
Voted one of the top ten beer festivals in the nation, the Fresh Hop Ale Festival is the celebration of Yakima Valley hops and the craft beer industry. Only the hop capitol of the nation could host an event like this! Sample fresh hop ales from breweries across the Northwest while enjoying sumptuous food, wine and live music in Downtown Yakima. General admission is $45. Event proceeds go toward supporting the arts in the Yakima Valley.
